Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Commitment
We are committed to providing a website that is easily accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Guidelines and Standards
AusTender aims to meet the Australian Government’s web accessibility requirements, including the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) at level A and AA.
Screen Reading Technology
For people using screen reading technology, we recommend the use of NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA). This site contains many drop down menus that are recognised with the use of NVDA via keyboard (up/down arrow keys).
NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) is a free, open-source, portable screen reader for Microsoft Windows.
Exceptions
AusTender aims to adhere to the Australian Government’s web accessibility requirements, however, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. While every effort has been made to ensure AusTender works across a variety of devices and browsers, this site works best with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.
Google Chrome is recommended for users of TalkBack software on Android devices. Safari is recommended for users of VoiceOver software on Apple devices.
