TOMAK - Farming for Prosperity (Timor-Leste)
This is a new Australian Aid investment in the agriculture and food security sector with an estimated budget of AUD25million over five years from 2016 to 2021.
TOMAK’s goal is enable rural households, throughout the “inland watersheds” Livelihood Zone, to live more prosperous and sustainable lives. It will be realised through the following outcomes:
Economic opportunity: Local commercial producers are partnering sustainably and profitably with agribusiness and service providers in the selected agricultural value chains
Household food security and nutrition: Locally relevant partners trigger household demand for year-round production and utilisation of diverse and sufficient food
