What is a Government Buyer?

A Government Buyer is an official from an Australian Government agency who can access AusTender to buy goods and services from Panels their agency is authorised to use.


How do I become a Government Buyer?

Agencies are responsible for approving their own officials as Government Buyers. To request Government Buyer access, existing AusTender agency users should select this link. If you are not an existing AusTender agency user you must complete and submit a request to become a Government Buyer. Your agency will assess your request and either accept or reject it. You will be notified via email of the outcome.If your request is accepted, and you do not have an existing AusTender Agency User account, a new account will be created to enable you to search for and buy from relevant Panels.


Existing AusTender Agency Users

If you already have an AusTender Agency User account please select this link to submit a request to become a Government Buyer within your agency. Your agency will assess your request and either accept or reject it. You will be notified via email of the outcome. If your request is accepted, your existing AusTender Agency User account privileges will be updated to enable you to search for and buy from relevant Panels.
