Closed ATM View - Cyber Call 2019
CYBER Research Network Agreements under NGTF
The Cyber theme seeks to leverage vibrant cyber science, technology and innovation capabilities across Australia to develop technology solutions of high relevance to Defence. Through partnerships with CSIRO’s Data61, academia and industry, Defence aims to understand the potential of cyber technologies, create prototype systems, and demonstrate the practical application of systems to Defence problems. The Cyber Theme seeks to inform Defence of the potential benefits and practical limitations of cyber technologies through studies and demonstrator systems. Follow on work will usually be needed to mature these ideas for practical use by Defence.
We are seeking submissions from academia, industry and other research agencies detailing how you propose to contribute to the research objectives of Defence in cyber. Defence interests in cyber differ substantially from industry and enterprise cyber security. Rather than defining these in detail, which would be time consuming and complex, a number of project descriptions are provided as examples of Defence’s current needs. These are organised into Cyber Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy, the Human Element, Trustworthy & Resilient Systems, Situational Awareness, Mission Assurance and Threat Countermeasures and Effects.
