Provision of expert hydrological advice and analysis related to Murray-Darling Basin ('the Basin') groundwater resources
This Approach to Market (ATM) is for the provision of expert hydrological advice and analysis related to Murray-Darling Basin ('the Basin') groundwater resources.
The Service Provider will implement a method to assist the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) in determining confidence that current Sustainable Diversion Limits (SDLs) and management settings reflect an Environmentally Sustainable Level of Take (ESLT) for groundwater resources across the Basin.
The project will be an iterative process, requiring the contractor to work collaboratively with the applied science and decision-making framework teams within the MDBA to test, refine and implement a proposed methodology to assess trends and condition in, and threats to, groundwater ESLT characteristics across the Basin. The outcomes of the project will form a component of the groundwater sustainable water limit’s theme of the Basin Plan Review (‘the Review’).
A deliberative draft copy of the proposed method is available to respondents for the purposes of responding to this Approach to Market.
A copy of the proposed method can be requested by contacting the contact officer listed in A.A.5. The method document is not for further distribution and is solely for the purposes of responding to this Approach to Market.
No conditions for participation are specified.
