The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) funds services through its Rehabilitation Program to help eligible Clients to restore function, or achieve the highest possible level of function, physically, psychologically, socially, vocationally and economically; to maximise quality of life and wellbeing, and to minimise the Client’s long term health care needs and community support needs that have arisen as a result of their service.

 

This RFT seeks to establish a new multidisciplinary panel of approximately 10 rehabilitation providers who are able to offer high quality and cost effective services to eligible veterans residing throughout Australia. 

 

The Contractor either themselves or cumulatively with any Subcontractors must deliver Rehabilitation Services to Clients in all Australian states and territories, inclusive of Australian offshore communities and also to Clients in international locations.

 

The Contractor either themselves or cumulatively with any Subcontractors must have a permanent, physical presence in each state and territory. This presence must include at least one Personnel who hold relevant qualifications.

The Department will exclude a tender from further evaluation if, at any time prior to the execution of any resultant Deed, the Department considers that the Tenderer does not meet one or more of the following conditions for participation:

a) clause 5.1(a)(i) (Judicial decisions relating to employee entitlements);

b) clause 5.1(a)(ii) (Trade sanctions); 

c) clause 5.4 (Australian Industry Participation); 

d) clause 5.5 (Workplace Gender Equality);

e) clause 5.6 (Shadow Economy Procurement Connected Policy) ;

f) clause 5.7 (Modern Slavery); or

g) The Tenderer must be a non-individual legal entity, such as an 

incorporated company, a trust where the trustee is an

incorporated entity and the trust deed provisions are 

acceptable to DVA, or an incorporated association, 

at the time of submitting a response to this RFT.

Two (2) year initial contract, commencing 29 April 2024 and will expire 

28 April 2026.

 

There are two (2) further optional one (1) year extensions. If renewals are enacted by DVA subsequent end dates will be 28 April 2027, then 28 April 2028.
