Advance Notice for RFI Joint 8190 Deployable Bulk Fuel Distribution (DBFD).
The Commonwealth issues advance notice of its intent to release a Request for Information in relation
to project JOINT 8190 - Deployable Bulk Fuel Distribution (DBFD). JOINT 8190 seeks to provide the
Australian Defence Force (ADF) with a modern, integrated DBFD capability. The capability will enable
the distribution, storage and supply of bulk amounts of fuel in order to support deployed joint force and
Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.
Fuel is vital to the conduct of all ADF operations and its 'raise, train and sustain' activities. The current
deployable capability has obsolescence issues which are increasingly impacting materiel availability.
JOINT 8190 will address this issue and provide a modem, integrated and sustainable capability.
Please note that the information being sought by this RFI has been identified by Defence as important
for planning purposes, and to inform Defence decision making, in relation to JOINT 8190. Defence
wishes to ensure that this planning and decision making occurs with the full benefit of information
provided by your organisation.
The RFI is intended to be released in Mid January 2020 - Responses will be accepted until Late
February - early March 2020 (depending on the exact release date).
