Geoscience Australia intends to engage a service provider to provide high-quality ITIL compliant ICT Managed Services. 

The services will include the services required to effectively Transition from the current managed service arrangements to the delivery of new ICT Managed services (Ongoing Services), and the capability to support Geoscience Australia in the uplift and transformation of several of its ICT services or supporting policies and procedures. 

In summary, the scope of the Ongoing Services includes:

• Service Desk and End User Support, and

• ICT Infrastructure Operations, which includes:

o Infrastructure management 

o Network management                             

o Cloud Platform management

o SOE management 

o Enterprise System management; and 

o Cyber Security Services

• Common Services

• Additional Services.

Geoscience Australia is also seeking the provision of an ongoing evolution support capability to work collaboratively with Geoscience Australia’s ICT functions to identify and implement further enhancements in support of the continuous evolution and improvement of its ICT Services.

A non-mandatory Industry Briefing will be conducted at 1:30pm, Tuesday 24 September 2024. 

The Industry Briefing will be held on GovTeams, and Tenderers must pre-register their attendance at the industry briefing via email with the Contact Officer no later than 20 September 2024. The Contact Officer will provide an invitation to the GovTeams event and further details.

Subsequently interested Tenderers are required to return a Data Room Deed Poll (RFT Part E) to the Contact Officer to obtain access to the Data Room, RFT Part B, Schedule 6 – Current Environment will only be accessible via the Data Room.

The Tenderer must be a legal entity recognised under Australian law at the Tender Closing Time. For the purposes of this RFT, a partner of a partnership who submits a Tender on behalf of a partnership, where that partnership is in existence at the Tender Closing Time, will meet this Condition for Participation.

The Tenderer must either:

a) hold all Valid and Satisfactory Statements of Tax Record required for its entity type by the Tender Closing Time; or

b) have all receipts demonstrating that all the necessary Statements of Tax Record as applicable to the Tenderer have been requested from the Australian Taxation Office by the Tender Closing Time and hold those Valid and Satisfactory Statements of Tax Record no later than 4 Business Days from the Tender Closing Time.

If it proposes to engage a subcontractor, the Tenderer must hold a Valid and Satisfactory Statement of Tax Record for any first-tier subcontractor that it proposes, as part of its Tender, to engage to deliver goods or services with an estimated value of over $4 million (GST inclusive).
