BGIS is requesting tenders for the supply of Civil Engineering Services for Roads, Paths, and Carparks for the National Capital Authority (NCA) located in Canberra, ACT.
The civil engineering consultancy services are required to plan for the maintenance and upkeep of the NCA's asphalt and concrete road, path and carpark assets, and requirements include:
- Programmed audit and inspection of the assets and updating of asset condition ratings, to be done in accordance with Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) Recommendations and Standards.
- Asset validation & re-alignment with NCA’s Asset Management System (AMS).
- Review and maintain the 30 Year Asset Maintenance Plan
- Identify annual packages of works for CAPEX program
- Provide detailed designs and specifications for works, including associated temporary traffic management plans
- Identify areas where minor maintenance treatments could be addressed through the OPEX program to extend asset life (e.g. crack sealing, path grinding, etc.).
Additional ad-hoc works will be required from the successful tenderer from time to time for:
- Development of plans for line marking, signage and TTMP's for other minor works across the NCA's estate
- Provision of road safety advice and assistance with traffic management issues. (Permanent and temporary safety barriers and options)
- Provision of professional advice to assist with planning or review of other packages of works. (During works planning or review of other NCA works)
- Provision of professional advice and assistance to obtain approvals from relevant authorities (TCCS and NCA)
Target commencement date: 01 October 2023.
Proposed term of Agreement: approx 2.4 years to 28 February 2026, with 3 x 1 year options to extend
