The Commission requires a digital media agency to provide services to support it in conducting fieldwork for the National Student Consent Study. The Study involves a 10-15 minute online survey, which is designed to capture secondary school students experiences and attitudes relating to relationships, sexuality, and consent education, and their knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding respectful relationships and consent. The agency will be required to:

  • Develop a social media participant recruitment strategy that identifies social media platforms, messaging and techniques that will be effective in recruiting young people to participate in the survey, and engages with Australian youth in their diversity;
  • Develop and test content to deliver the strategy, including organic and promoted social media posts ( i.e. text, imagery, GIFs, static posts, reels), targeted posts for engaging those at risk of being underrepresented and short promotional/ informational videos;
  • Implement the social media participant recruitment strategy, including, creating/managing social media accounts, posting social media content, tracking and monitoring all social media activity ( e.g. reach, engagement, clicks throughs, comments), and developing and implementing stategies to boost response and target young people identified during study fieldwork as being from underrepresented groups; and
  • Provide reports part-way through (interim report) and at the end of fieldwork (final report), which include social media analytics, outline of issues and recommendations for improvements.

Note that all branding and visual assets for the study will be established and available to the Digital Media Agency to use (i.e., these do not need to be developed by the Agency).
