AIC Criminology Research Projects 2024
Suppliers are required to submit a detailed proposal for a criminological research project that will make a valuable contribution to knowledge and address policy-relevant needs in the area of crime and criminal justice.
Projects to be supported through this Approach to Market are:
- criminological research that is relevant to the public policy of the Commonwealth, the states, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory and
- activities related to that research (including, for example, the publication of that research).
In addition to the above, the Advisory Council welcomes applications that address:
- Identifying culturally safe and effective approaches to reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the criminal justice system,
- Understanding and addressing victimisation of other vulnerable cohorts (e.g. older people) and in specific contexts (e.g. online),
- Understanding and addressing offenders living with disability or mental health conditions in the criminal justice system, and
- Innovative responses to address children at risk of entering the criminal justice system (including young people with harmful sexual behaviours).
There are no mandatory conditions for participation.
Submissions will only be accpeted if lodged through AusTender by the advertised closing time.
Questions must be sent to ACICtenders@acic.gov.au. Answers will be posted in an Addendum on AusTender.
Contracts can commence once ethics approval has been received for a given proposal. This generally sees contracts commence from February (in this case February 2025).
