CSIRO Black Mountain is one of CSIRO’s most prominent and well-known research sites. It houses approximately 600 – 700 on-site staff and affiliates and has been in operation for over 90 years. The site is also home to the CSIRO Education Centre, which caters for public curiosity about science with displays and interactive exhibits.
The Black Mountain Café services staff at Black Mountain, their affiliates and visitors. CSIRO is seeking a food and beverage service operator to provide quality food and beverages and engaging services at the Black Mountain Café that meets the needs of its visitors, contractors and staff.
The Services are a critical part of the workplace environment at Black Mountain and the daily life of people on site. Services should provide an enjoyable, convenient and cost competitive experience for staff, affiliates and visitors to the CSIRO Black Mountain site.
The Successful Tenderer will understand the importance of the Black Mountain Café to the workplace environment at Black Mountain, provide a menu and service offering appropriate for the location, and be committed to supporting a positive workplace environment and upholding CSIRO’s reputation.
5.1.1 Subject to clause 5.7, Unintentional Errors of Form, CSIRO will exclude a Tenderer from further consideration and evaluation if CSIRO considers in its absolute discretion that the conditions for participation set out in this clause have not been met by the Tenderer. Notwithstanding anything else contained in this RFT, only requirements listed in this clause will be deemed conditions for participation.
a. the Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the RFT Closing Time and Date
b. at the time of lodgement of their Tender, Tenderers must not have been:
i. precluded from tendering for Australian Government funded work or
ii. subject to a judicial decision against them relating to employee entitlements (not including decisions under appeal, and have not paid the claim
An indicative timeframe for commencement is early to mid-October 2024.
