The National Measurement Institute (NMI) requires a Multi-Quad Inductively Couple Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MQ-ICP-MS) for it’s Chemical Reference Values section. This instrument will be used for elemental measurement in various solution matrices. It must demonstrate high sensitivity and high stability to permit provision of accurate reference values.

The system should be cost effective, reliable and provide excellent performance. The system is to consist of:

• MQ-ICP-MS instrument

• Computer, monitor, and all accessories necessary to operate the system

• An auto-sampler

• A computer system with advanced software to control all aspects of instrument operation. Operating system must use Windows 10.

• Other associated accessories that are needed to meet safety requirements for operation.

:

The MQ-ICP-MS must be installed and ready to operate. The vendor must include delivery to NMI North Ryde, installation, setup, minimum two years warranty, and familiarisation with the system. All equipment must be capable of operating on a standard Australian 240 V power system.

The training must be delivered onsite and cover the use of software, routine maintenance, method development and troubleshooting. The training must be sufficient to allow the Customer’s operators to run the instrument independently at the end of the training period. Follow up onsite support is to be provided if required.

The instrument is to be delivered and installed at the Customer’s National Measurement Institute (NMI) laboratories at North Ryde NSW. During system installation, the tenderer must accept and remove an existing ICP-MS instrument.
