Australia Indonesia Partnership for Education Quality Improvement (AIPEQI)
The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Education Quality Improvement will be a third phase of Australia’s partnership with the Government of Indonesia in improving Indonesia’s student learning outcomes.
Since 2000, Australia has supported basic education development in Indonesia through a range of investments in education access. In 2016, Australia moved to focus on the problem of low learning outcomes and on the improvement of education quality in partnership with the Indonesian government, in line with the changing policy context in both Indonesia and Australia. Over the past eight years Australia’s flagship education program, Innovation for Indonesia’s School Children (INOVASI), has supported the Government of Indonesia (GoI) to identify constraints to basic learning outcomes and to develop and implement solutions.
Building on the experience of Phase 1 and 2 of INOVASI, Australia will continue to support Indonesia’s education sector through a new education program, valued at AUD110 million over two 4 year phases: phase 1 AUD 55 million from 2024-2027, and phase 2 AUD 55 million from 2028-2031. The new investment will be designed to be sufficiently adaptive to sustain previous INOVASI’s achievements and support key Government of Indonesia (GoI) reforms in education, particularly in light of the upcoming elections at every level of government and the potential change in administration in 2024.
Organisations wishing to tender for the project should substantially complete the response forms and submit them via AusTender by the closing date.
Initial four years from January 2024 to December 2027 plus an option to extend for a further four year period from January 2028 to Deccember 2031
