The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is an independent Commonwealth statutory authority whose role is to enforce the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and a range of additional legislation, promoting competition, fair trading, consumer protection, and regulating national infrastructure for the benefit of all Australians.
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) regulates energy markets and networks under national legislation and rules.
The ACCC and AER undertake procurement activities in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and look to the market for effective, value for money procurement solutions.
The ACCC and AER procurement plan is regularly updated in line with respective business initiatives.
