Strategic Procurement Outlook

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is Australia's peak body for supporting health and medical research; for developing health advice for the Australian community, health professionals and governments; and for providing advice on ethical behaviour in health care and in the conduct of health and medical research.


NHMRC consolidates within a single national organisation the often independent functions of research funding and development of advice. The functions of NHMRC come from the statutory obligations conferred by the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

NHMRC will update its Annual Procurement Plan as necessary throughout the financial year.

All open approaches to the market will be advertised on AusTender at www.tenders.gov.au. If potential suppliers require request documentation, they are able to download them directly from AusTender.

To locate Planned Procurements with a specific status, use the drop down menu to select the status.

Each Planned Procurement has a status.  The status reflects where the Planned Procurement is in the planning or procurement lifecycle.  Planned Procurement statuses are: 

As published – unchanged since originally published

Amended – has been amended since published

To Market – converted to an ATM and has gone to the market

Withdrawn – has been withdrawn from the APP

Cancelled – has been cancelled by AusTender system administrators.  Cancelled Planned Procurements are removed from public view but are still visible to APP Publishers.
