Strategic Procurement Outlook
OUR ORGANISATION
The ATO is the government's principal revenue collection agency managing and shaping tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians. We also support the delivery of community benefits, with roles in private health insurance, family assistance and cross-agency support.
PROCUREMENT REQUIREMENTS
We have ongoing operational and occasional specialised needs for a range of goods and services sourced on a national, state or regional basis. All procurement involving access to our sites or records is subject to strict security standards. All our goods and services providers are expected to fully comply with our, and other, Commonwealth regulatory requirements, particularly meeting their taxation obligations.
PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES
The ATO's procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and ATO related policy. All major procurement is managed by the ATO's Strategic Procurement & Contracts Branch.
Major expenditure includes;
Lease accommodation and outsourced property services
IT and Communications hardware and services
Ongoing procurement of consumable goods and services
It should also be noted that, in line with government policy, the ATO makes use of new or existing arrangements or Whole of Australian Government arrangements where they exist.
LISTING OF PLANNED PROCUREMENT
All planned procurement listed below is included on the basis that, as at 1 July 2015, procurement outside existing arrangements with an estimated value of $80,000 or more will be conducted using an open approach to the market.
UPDATING PLANNED PROCUREMENT
Any revision of requirements or withdrawal of listed procurements will be noted following a periodic review of the Annual Procurement Plan. Procurements rescheduled beyond the 2015/16 planning period will be amended in the plan.
