Strategic Procurement Outlook
The Veterans' Affairs portfolio is responsible for carrying out government policy and implementing programs to fulfil Australia's obligations to veterans and war widows, serving and former members of the Australian Defence Force, certain Australian Federal Police officers with overseas service and Australian participants in British nuclear tests in Australia, and their dependants. This responsibility includes the provision of health services, commemorative activities, research into veteran health issues and evaluation of its service delivery programs. DVA has a range of administrative and corporate services under contract to support these activities.
