Strategic Procurement Outlook
The Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) was established on 23 July 2012 and is one of four parliamentary departments supporting the Australian Parliament.
The role of the PBO is to inform the Parliament by providing independent and non-partisan analysis of the budget cycle, fiscal policy and the financial implications of proposals.
The PBO is a small agency with no significant approaches to the market for this financial year. The PBO’s procurement requirements will be met through the use existing contracts, panels, and
whole-of-government and cooperative procurement arrangements where possible.
However should the PBO require services or goods which would require an open approach to market, the annual procurement plan will be updated to reflect the current PBO procurement requirements.
Further information on the PBO is available at: http://www.pbo.gov.au.
