The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) conducts independent merit-based review of administrative decisions made under Commonwealth Law in a manner that is fair, just, economical, informal, proportionate and quick. 

The AAT aims to be recognised as an accessible, expert and innovative merits review tribunal whose members and staff deliver administrative justice for individuals and organisations and support quality government decision-making.

The Tribunal adheres to the principles of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, through the Accountable Authority Instructions and supporting departmental guidelines, when considering and undertaking procurement.

The Tribunal looks to the market for procurement solutions that are innovative, effective and which offer clear value for money.
