AsA has undertaken a major construction and life extension program across all ATC towers nationally as part of the 'National Towers Program'. The National Towers Program consists of three major projects comprising; (a) construction of New Towers (b) Refurbishment Project and (c) New Technology Project. This RFT relates to part of one project stream being the 'New Towers Project' which involves the design and construction of new Air Traffic Control towers around Australia. This RFT specifically relates to the design and construction for the new Rockhampton ATC tower at Rockhampton Airport. These works are described in detail in the attached Statement of Requirement. This RFT does not relate to any other part of the National Towers Program or the National Towers Project.It is intended that the design will be repeatable to be modified to fit other GAAP and Regional aerodromes with minimal re-design. Pending completion of the Rockhampton ATC tower, new towers with heights of less than 25 metres are being considered at several other aerodromes nationally.
