Renewable Electricity PPA
CSIRO will be approaching the market by issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Renewable Electricity Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA). CSIRO will be seeking responses from Australian Energy Regulator (AER) authorised retailers for the supply of renewable electricity and Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs), along with associated services for CSIRO-managed large market and small market sites located in the ACT, NSW and VIC.
CSIRO is seeking to include an energy-related research component into the PPA arrangements. The research component is expected to further CSIRO’s knowledge in the renewable energy field.
The Contract term is expected to be for up to 10 years with a likely commencement date of 1 April 2020.
The RFP for a Renewable Electricity Power Purchasing Agreement is expected to be published on AusTender prior to 11th October 2019 with an ATM ID of CSIRORFP2019053.
