Medicare Easyclaim Claiming Services
Easyclaim is one of Medicare’s digital claiming channels which uses Point of Sale (‘POS’) devices. It allows health professionals to bulk bill and lodge patient claims for benefits. Approved Claimant Medicare Benefits are credited directly to the Claimant’s account by electronic funds transfer through the POS device. A daily settlement process provides re-imbursement of funds paid by Tenderers to Claimants.
The Department intends to enter into non-exclusive contracts with successful Tenderers for a period of three years (which may be extended by the Department, at its sole discretion, for a further period (or periods) of up to two years in total, which may be taken by the Department in whole or in part and in any number or combination of time periods). However, from time to time during that period, the Department may issue an approach to market (ATM) for additional providers of Easyclaim Claiming Services.
