Vanuatu Australia Police and Justice Program 3 (VAPJP3)
The Australian Government has provided support to the policing and justice sector in Vanuatu since the early 2000s. The current investment, the Vanuatu Australia Police and Justice Program (VAPJP) works with the Vanuatu Police Force, the Ministry of Justice and Community Services, independent justice agencies and community organisations to improve the quality and reach of policing and justice services, support access to justice, particularly for women, children, and people with disabilities, and to maintain public security and the rule of law.
DFAT proposes to support a third phase of VAPJP (2024-2028), to be delivered in partnership with the Australian Federal Police (AFP). A four-year extension option will be available to extend the program to 2032, with a design update required in 2028.
