Defence War College Academic Agreement
The purpose of this AusTender notification is to provide advanced notice to all Australian Universities or Overseas Universities (as defined by the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015) that the Australian War College (War College), as part of the Australian Defence College (ADC), intends to approach the market in July 2020 to solicit responses via a Request For Tender (RFT).
The War College aims to establish a long term agreement for academic services and associated support services to the War College, enabling world class residential courses, distributed learning, research, seminars, and professional journals, supporting delivery of joint professional military education to Defence from January 2023.
Mastery of the profession of arms is a critical warfighting edge for the Australian Defence Force. The ADC advocates for professional mastery to nurture the desire of our people to achieve professional excellence and has a pivotal role in contributing to building the Australian Defence Force future force. To achieve this, the ADC delivers world-class joint professional education and joint individual training that is future focused, preparing military leaders intellectually for future digital age warfare.
The War College is responsible for the delivery of joint professional military education and provides a range of courses in both residential and distance learning format. Students attending the War College comprise Australian Defence Force personnel, Australian Public Servants from Defence and other agencies and international military personnel.
As applicable and appropriate, this AusTender notice may be updated with further information relating to this RFT.
Please note that this AusTender notification doesn’t represent a guarantee of any future work. The Commonwealth may decide not to proceed with any aspects of the War College Academic Arrangement or any future procurement process. The Commonwealth will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by any respondent in preparing for any of the identified activities.

a) at the time of submitting its tender, the tenderer must have and maintain status as a Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) self-accrediting higher education provider - i.e is defined as an Australian or Overseas University in accordance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015; and
b) no later than Effective Date of the Contract, the tenderer must have and maintain Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) Entry Level membership.
