AZ6244 – Notice – New Training Area near Greenvale, North Queensland – ASMTI - Managing Contractor Contract (MCC)
THIS IS A NOTICE
The Australia-Singapore Military Training Initiative (ASMTI) will see the delivery of enhanced military training areas in Central and North Queensland. Under the ASMTI, Singapore will invest approximately AUD 2.25 billion for the Commonwealth to acquire, design, develop and construct military training areas through expanding the existing Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) and establishing a new training area near Greenvale, in North Queensland. The construction work at the new training area near Greenvale is expected to be delivered in two phases, Early and Main Works.
This notice is for the planned procurement of a Managing Contractor (MCC-1 2003) services for the Planning and Construction of buildings, services and infrastructure associated with the Main Works of the new Training Area near Greenvale.

Supporting Requirements
For completeness, the Project will require assessment by an environmental and heritage consultant engaged by the Managing Contractor. The Managing Contractor will be required to carry out the works in accordance with the outcomes and any requirements imposed by the environmental and heritage approval.
THIS IS A NOTICE
The Managing Contractor Contract (MCC-1 2003) is a two stage Contract where the successful applicant is appointed to plan the works (the Planning Phase). The Planning Phase includes all aspects of design, environmental, heritage, services condition and capacity investigations
Contractor appointment for the Delivery Phase is subject to all relevant Approvals, including Delivery Phase Agreement under the Contract with the Commonwealth
Building Code 2016
The Building Code 2016 applies. If the Building Code 2016 applies then by lodging a Registration of Interest, the Applicant will become subject to the Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) applies. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Invitation to Register Interest.
Indigenous Procurement Policy
The Australian Government's new Indigenous Procurement Policy took effect on 1 July 2015. If relevant, further information regarding the Indigenous Procurement Policy is provided in the Invitation to Register Interest.
Joint Bids
