Lombrum Infrastructure Project (Main Works) - Head Contract (HC International 2020) (Construct Only)
On 01 November 2018, the Australian and PNG Governments announced a joint initiative to redevelop the Lombrum Naval Base. The Lombrum Infrastructure Project will restore and enhance the sovereign capability of the PNG Defence Force (PNGDF) by refurbishing and rebuilding fundamental infrastructure at Lombrum Naval Base.

- Marine UXO Clearance and Shipwreck Salvage
- Construction Enabling Works
- Site Wide Civil Works
- Water Infrastructure
- Wastewater Sewerage Infrastructure Upgrade
- Power Generation and Distribution Infrastructure Upgrade
- Base ICT Infrastructure
- PNGDF Headquarters
- Ammunition Storage Facility (Magazine)
- Junior Sailors Permanent Accommodation
- Officer / Senior Sailor Permanent Accommodation
- All Ranks Transit Accommodation
- Combined Mess and Recreational Facility
- LCT Ramp Hardstand
- Finger Jetty Upgrade
- Community Chapel Ablution Block
- Community Hall Ablution Block
- Small Boat Ramp
- Fuel Infrastructure
- Temporary Barge Landing Ramp
- Guardian Class Patrol Boat (GCPB) Refuelling Works.
Building Code 2016
The Building Code 2016 does not apply. If the Building Code 2016 applies then by lodging a Registration of Interest, the Applicant will become subject to the Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) does not apply. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Invitation to Register Interest.
Indigenous Procurement Policy
The Australian Government's new Indigenous Procurement Policy which took effect on 1 July 2015 does not apply.
Joint Bids
The Commonwealth does offer applicants an opportunity to lodge a Registration of Interest on a Joint Bid Basis. Further information regarding Joint Bids is provided in the Invitation to Register Interest.
PWC Act
The works described in the Invitation to Register Interest are not a "public work" and therefore are not subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).

The award date for the contract is anticipated to be in or about 09-2020, with completion in or about 11-2022.
