SBAS Project Industry Briefing Session 2 and further Request for Information
This Request for Information is intended to inform potential suppliers of GA’s continuing market analysis activities in preparation for a possible approach to market for the Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) Project (the Project).
This is a notice to provide potential suppliers advance notice of an opportunity to attend an upcoming industry briefing session, as part of continuing market analysis for the Project, the details of which are as follows

The intention of this Request for Information is to ensure that potential suppliers receive further clarity on GA’s expectations in relation to the Project, including a supply of a copy of an industry information pack.
The Industry Information Pack contains information about the Project, and a returnable schedule which may be submitted by potential suppliers within five (5) weeks after the date of the industry briefing session (on or before 3:00PM (Canberra Time), Tuesday, 22 October 2019) via AusTender (submitting the returnable schedule is desirable, but not mandatory). The potential suppliers are also allowed to submit returnable schedules which are only partially completed.
The information included in returnable schedules will be used by GA to further its understanding of the extent to which the market is capable of meeting the needs of the Project prior to a formal approach to market.
In addition, an opt-in offer is also made to each potential supplier to present their proposed solution(s) to GA within five (5) weeks after the industry briefing session (on or before 3:00PM (Canberra Time), Tuesday, 22 October 2019), preferably during the period from 14th October 2019 to 17th October 2019 (inclusive), for up to 90 minutes per potential supplier, either in person in Canberra or via tele/video conferencing. The presentations by potential suppliers is desirable, but not mandatory, and could take the form of PowerPoint presentations and/or product demonstrations.
All interested parties are invited to submit any questions, clarifications and/or enquiries in writing, by no later than 3:00PM (Canberra Time), Tuesday, 8 October 2019, via email to tenders@ga.gov.au. GA is under no obligation to respond to any questions, clarifications and/or enquiries received after this time.
Participation in this process is at the sole risk, cost and expense of potential suppliers.
Please register your interest to attend the industry briefing session by emailing tenders@ga.gov.au by no later than 3:00PM (Canberra Time), Thursday, 12 September 2019, with the following information:
•Names, phone numbers and email addresses of people who are attending in-person; and/or
•Names, phone numbers and email addresses of people who are attending via teleconference.
Potential suppliers are encouraged to indicate in the same email whether they are interested in presenting a proposed solution to GA using a 90-minute industry presentation. Alternatively, potential suppliers may choose to register their interest by emailing tenders@ga.gov.au by no later than 3:00PM (Canberra Time), Tuesday, 8 October 2019. Either way, please include at least three (3) options for preferred dates and times, preferably during the period from 14th October 2019 to 17th October 2019 (inclusive). This will assist GA to ensure relevant personnel and suitable venue are secured, and teleconference details are posted.
Please note that the Close Date & Time stated in this notice is when returnable schedules must be received by, and is not the actual date and time of the industry briefing session or any other stage of or milestone for the Project.
